Children and Young People Strategic Plan – Engagement Event

Event Information:

Location: Recreation Hall, Sport & Social Club at University Hospital Wales

Date: Wednesday, 28 August

Time: 1PM – 4PM

As the population of Cardiff and the Vale continues to grow, it becomes more important that the Health Board develops new models of care that are person centric and empower people to responsibly manage their own health. Shaping Our Future Clinical Services looks to develop new service models that integrate care and deliver outcomes that are significant to the individual. The Health Board has identified several clinical pathways to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. One of these pathways is our paediatric services.

The Health Board is undertaking an engagement workshop on our services for babies, children, young people and families. We would like to know what’s important to people about the care young people receive and why.

We are inviting stakeholders for an in-person event to learn more about the strategic plan and share their thoughts.

The event will be formatted as an opportunity to walk around and learn about different elements of the strategy for babies, children and young people and engage in its development. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak to the authors of each section of the plan and provide their input, as well as hearing from the Cardiff and Vale Youth Board to learn what is important to them. This is an important and exciting opportunity to shape the direction and content of our 10 year plan as you give us your thoughts on the draft sections.

The information we have already gathered and your valued feedback will be used to help us develop the paediatric part of our new strategic plan.

If you are interested in attending the event and have any queries, or would like to confirm your attendance please contact Gemma Williams (C&W CB PA) on [email protected]
