Recovery Cymru is  a peer-led, mutual aid, recovery community in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan that empowers people to achieve and maintain recovery while supporting others to do the same.

 

 

Summary of Aims & Objectives:

 

Recovery Cymru is a peer-led Recovery Community Organisation with three main aims to:

  • Build the recovery community, starting in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan [People]
  • Raise awareness of overcoming problems with substance misuse, challenging stigma and discrimination [Voices]
  • Partner with others to create environments for recovery [Partners]

We do this by focussing on our key areas:

  • People
  • Voices
  • Partnerships

Services:

 

A range of peer led support and activity programmes available 7 days a week.

 

 

Currently [Covid 19]:-
  • 1:1 sessions available over phone/video call
  • 1:1 bookable face to face appointments
  • Telephone recovery support
  • Recovery Coaching
  • Online Groups via Zoom including:-
    • Relapse Prevention
    • Peer Moving On in My Recovery
    • Mens Group
    • Women's Group
    • What's Out There? Group [outdoors meet up fortnightly]
    • Volunteering Opportunities
    • Access to Footsteps to Recovery Community Rehab Programme

If you are looking for support, our friendly team are here to tell you more about what we offer and make it as easy for you to get involved in our confidential support as possible. We know making this first call can be hard but we will listen without judgement.
