Accessible transport survey

Leonard Cheshire (https://www.leonardcheshire.org/) is currently conducting a research project on accessible transport in the UK, funded by Motability. One key area of investigation is understanding the barriers and facilitators for disabled people’s experiences of taxi and private hire vehicle (PHV) usage in the UK. The findings will be used to publish evidence and conduct advocacy to help make taxi usage more accessible for disabled people.

They are organising online focus group sessions with disabled people, who will be asked about their experiences or attitudes towards taxis, private hire vehicles, and ride-hailing services. There is no minimum requirement on experience with using taxis or PHVs – a diverse perspective would be beneficial. Enclosed, please find an information sheet for anyone interested in participating. Upon completion of the study, their participation will be compensated £35 in the form of an Amazon voucher.
