What is the survey about?
We know that more of us than ever need support with our mental health and are reliant on primary care, voluntary or third sector organisations and digital platforms/apps to receive support.
Mind (the mental health charity) would like to understand more about your experiences of mental health support provided by primary care (for example a GP or practice nurse), charities and voluntary or third sector organisations (for example support groups, information services, counselling or similar psychological services) and digital based platforms/apps (for example Headspace). This insight will help Mind campaign for improvements to mental health services.
You don’t have to have used these services to take this survey. You can also complete the survey if you’ve tried to access these services but didn’t end up using them or couldn’t access them. You don’t need to have used Mind services to take part in this survey either.
Mind has asked us, M·E·L Research, an independent research agency, to conduct this survey on their behalf. Your answers will help us to understand what currently works and how support can be improved, and these insights will help Mind campaign for improvements to mental health services.
To take the Big Mental Health Survey you must be:
- Someone who’s 16+
- A person with experience using primary care services (like your GP or practice nurse), charity mental health services or apps in the past 12 months
Why it’s so important
This survey is going to help change the mental health system in the UK.
It will give us clearer data on people’s experiences of primary care, voluntary organisations and apps that support mental health in the England and Wales.
The information will help decision makers chart a course to a better future for mental health. Taking part means having a say on what that future could look like.
